Samsung is reportedly preparing to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip FE, a more affordable foldable smartphone, sometime in the second quarter of 2025. Although the company has yet to officially confirm the phone’s existence, a well-known display analyst has shared some insights into the device’s screen technology.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE model number and display details
Ross Young, co-founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, recently responded to a query on X (formerly Twitter) and stated that the Galaxy Z Flip FE will feature the same display as the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
To recap, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 boasts a foldable Dynamic LTPO AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2640 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. Its cover display is a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 60Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and up to 1,600 nits of brightness. If the Galaxy Z Flip FE adopts the same display specifications, users can expect a premium viewing experience at an affordable price.
In addition to the display leak, the Galaxy Z Flip FE has been spotted on the GSMA database under the model number SM-F761B, which is believed to represent the global variant. While detailed specifications remain scarce, rumors suggest the device will be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2400 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
