Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, are anticipated to debut in the latter half of the year. While major design changes aren’t expected, recent certification details have revealed key insights into their charging capabilities.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 Charging Details
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) on X, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 were recently spotted on the 3C certification site with model numbers SM-F9660 and SM-F7660, respectively.
The certification listing reveals that both devices will support 25W wired charging using a charger with the model number EP-TA800 — the same charging speed as the previous generation. Additionally, the listing suggests that both smartphones will not include a charger in the retail box, following Samsung’s recent trend.
As for the battery capacity, past leaks suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will feature a 4,300mAh battery, a notable upgrade from the 4,000mAh battery found in its predecessor. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to retain its 4,400mAh battery capacity.
