As we all know Samsung is going to host its Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22nd. The event is primarily famous because it marks the arrival of the Galaxy S25 lineup. But it looks like Samsung has planned a few more surprises other than the S25 lineup for the event.

Samsung’s Project Moohan XR headset might be unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked

Popular South Korean publication, Business Korea, in its latest report claims that Samsung will showcase prototypes or teaser videos of its Project Moohan XR headset at the Galaxy Unpacked event. The device was previously confirmed to run on Android XR. It would be the first device to run on this new operating system designed by Google for XR devices.

The Android XR platform was jointly developed by Google, Samsung and Qualcomm. It focuses on empowering the newer and upcoming XR headsets. Project Moohan is the company’s direct competitor to Apple’s famous Vision Pro.

Given that this is the company’s first product in this particular niche and it uses a newly developed operating system, it would be interesting to see how it works in real. What’s more interesting is how it’s going to stand in front of its contender Apple. Apple also struggled to sell its product in the market so let’s see how Samsung will tackle it.
