In August, Samsung unveiled the first beta of its new One UI 6 skin, which is based on Android 14. Although the firm has been providing beta users with upgrades, One UI 6 has never been formally announced on stage until today.

Samsung One UI 6.0 Features

The main updates in One UI 6 have previously been addressed in a report from a few months ago. Samsung did not announce anything new, but it did go into detail about the new features, including the fast panel’s expanded selection of settings and improved accessibility. Additionally, a new Music widget with improved visual animations is available. The Weather app widget from Samsung has been upgraded and can now more clearly display critical future forecasts.

Additionally, Samsung announced a brand-new One UI Sans font, which will be utilized by Samsung phones across the board beginning with One UI 6. It provides for a fresher appearance and feel while being more readable. Samsung claims that the emojis are more “fun” than the traditional ones. There are more customization choices for the lock screen, and the manufacturer also made some potential future One UI features hints.

Samsung announced that future Galaxy A devices that debut with One UI 6 would have the Knox Vault security feature, which was initially introduced to the Galaxy S21 series. Updates on Samsung’s Tizen TV OS, Bixby, SmartThings, and health-related features were also mentioned in the SDC23 presentation.

The Google Pixel series of smartphones, which received the OTA last week, are the first handsets to receive a reliable Android 14 update. Before the year is out, the newest Samsung flagships may adopt the One UI.
