Samsung recently began rolling out the One UI 7 update to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, the update was paused shortly after due to a major bug affecting device unlocking. Now, just a few days later, Samsung has resumed the rollout for these models in India and several other countries. The update brings several improvements and new features. Here’s everything you need to know.
Samsung pushing OneUI 7 update to Galaxy devices in India
Samsung pushed several Beta updates and the OneUI 7 update has now been officially released by the brand for the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, and X Flip 6. The latest OneUI 7 update brings the April security patch which is based on Android 15. The brand not only pushed the update on India but other countries or global regions like UAE, Malaysia, Europe, Middle East, and Philippines received the latest OneUI 7 update on their supported Galaxy devices. While some users reportedly haven’t got the update but it’s currently rolling out.
The OneUI 7 update brings many new changes and improvements to Galaxy devices including a new design and a refined notification page. In addition, the latter is now customizable. OneUI 7 update also brings new icons for stock apps. Plus, the camera app gets a new redesign where the shortcuts are placed to a different location for easier access.
Samsung has brought some new Galaxy AI features as well to improve the user’s experience with Galaxy AI. They have also improved the previous Galaxy AI features as well. We also got new widgets with OneUI 7 update for both home and lock screen. Moreover, the update improved the animations and transmission when switching between apps. On the lock screen, you will get to see a Now Bar which shows ongoing and live notifications like media playback, navigation, stopwatch, etc.
As of now, the OneUI 7 update rolled out to the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 devices. We can expect the OneUI 7 update for other Galaxy devices in May. Stay tuned!
