The Sony Xperia 1 VII is rumored to be in development as the successor to the Xperia 1 VI. Ahead of its anticipated launch, CAD renders of the smartphone have surfaced online, offering a first look at its design. These renders were shared by XpertPick in collaboration with renowned tipster OnLeaks.
Sony Xperia 1 VII CAD Renders Surface Online
According to the report, the Sony Xperia 1 VII will measure 161.9 x 74.5 x 8.5 mm. The device is expected to feature a 6.5-inch display, similar to its predecessor, with relatively chunky bezels on both ends.
On the left side, the phone appears to have no buttons, while the right side is expected to house the power button, volume rockers, and a dedicated camera shutter button.
The rear panel will feature a triple-camera setup, arranged in vertically stacked rings. While the exact specifications of the cameras remain unknown, reports suggest that Sony might continue to offer a periscope lens, similar to the previous model.
Additional design details include dual front-firing speakers. The 3.5mm headphone jack and a microphone could be placed at the top, while the bottom edge is expected to house a hybrid SIM slot, microphone, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
