Realme introduced its flagship Realme GT 7 Pro in November 2024 in the Chinese market, followed by launches in India and globally. Now, the company appears to be working on another addition to the Realme GT series. A reliable tipster has revealed significant details about the upcoming device, which has also surfaced on certification databases.
Realme GT Series Images, Specifications, and Launch Timeline
A Realme smartphone with the model number RMX5090 has been spotted on China’s TENAA database, revealing its design and specifications. Visually, the phone bears a strong resemblance to the Realme GT 7 Pro.
Popular tipster Digital Chat Station shared additional information about the new GT series phone via a Weibo post. According to the tipster, Realme plans to launch this model shortly after the Chinese New Year, which falls after January 29th 2025. However, the exact name of this new GT series model has not been disclosed.
Compared to the Realme GT 7 Pro, the upcoming model will omit the 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens and replace the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor with a more affordable optical fingerprint sensor.
The tipster further revealed that the upcoming Realme GT model is expected to have a lower price point than the Realme GT 7 Pro. For context, the GT 7 Pro debuted in China with a starting price of CNY 3,599 (around Rs 40,000). If the leaks are accurate, this new Realme GT phone could launch at an even more affordable price than the GT 7 Pro.
