A lot of brands are going to launch their ‘Ultra’ smartphones in the coming days. Xiaomi recently confirmed the launch of its Xiaomi 15 Ultra device for February end. The OPPO is also expected to release its Find X8 Ultra in March. Subsequently, Vivo is also lined up to release its Vivo X200 Ultra.
Vivo X200 Ultra and X200S launch timeline tipped
A post published on Weibo (via) suggests that Vivo’s upcoming premium devices; the Vivo X200 Ultra and X200S will, most likely, be released in mid-to-late April month in China. This is exactly six months after the launch of base X200 and X200 Pro.
The post also sheds light on the camera tech of Vivo and Nubia. For instance, Nubia offers a 35mm lens on its devices and Vivo is also expected to offer it on the coming device. He says that if the products get a good response from the consumers, then it may influence other brands to switch to 35mm lenses and make it a mainstream solution.
Current devices mostly use a 23mm lens which is quite wide. While the 35mm lens captures more zoomed-in shots compared to 23mm, it gets a lot of things right. There are little to no distortions in the sides, the overall picture looks cinematic and offers a fresh perspective. 35mm is technically an overall better solution.
