Vivo Introduced its new Vivo vision MR (mixed reality) headset in China at the Boao Forum for Asia. The first look of the vision headset prototype shows the design of the vision headset which is similar to Apple Vision Pro. The report also suggests that the vision headset could come with a separate battery pack. While the Vivo vision headset is just for a showcase, the brand is yet to announce the official confirmation of their next gen vision MR headset.

The Vivo Vision mixed reality headset has a sleek ski goggle-style design with a black glass at the front and a blue headband/strap. There appear to be the camera sensors within the front glass and the body, likely supporting motion tracking and hand gesture recognition like the Apple Vision Pro. Vivo notes the new Vision mixed reality headset comes as part of its efforts to enhance real-time spatial computing, aiming to support future developments in consumer robotics. However, the brand hasn’t revealed the complete details of the Vivo vision mixed reality headset at the moment but the device is expected to launch by mid in April 2025. In addition, we can expect the launch of the flagship Vivo X200 Ultra and Vivo X200s at the same time.
Vivo also announced a new robotics lab in China where mainly they focus to build the strategic innovation path as a development of the brand. The brand is also planning to develop an advanced vision and intelligence systems for robots at its lab in China. By adding its expertise in imaging, AI, large language models, and spatial computing, especially through Vivo Vision; the company aims to enhance how robots see and think in future.
