As of now, the Vi 5G services haven’t expanded much in India and many consumers prefer to select Airtel or Jio 5G services because they are providing the fastest services in India with 5G unlimited plans. Vi begin to rollout its 5G services in India soon
Vodafone Idea (Vi) announced its Q3 2024 quarterly report in December and earlier this week, they have confirmed that they’ll begin the rollout of the 5G services soon in India starting with Mumbai. Afterwards, the company will explain its 5G services to other cities including Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Patna in April 2025.
Vi already began the rolling of the 5G services at specific locations across all the 17 circles in December 2024. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Vi claimed that it had ‘successfully rolled out 5G services in accordance with MRO guidelines.’ They haven’t revealed the details much about the services on the tweet post.
Previously, the reports claimed that the company had already begun testing the Non-Standalone 5G (NSA) on 26GHz and 3.3GHz spectrums. But as of now, they claim that they’ll roll out the 5G services in India soon which is a great move from the company that they are rolling out soon without delaying much.
Talking about the plans, Vodafone Idea (Vi) has confirmed that unlimited plans for 5G data are available for prepaid users with Rs 299/- and for postpaid users, the cost is Rs. 451. On the other hand, Reliance’s Jio and Airtel recently increased the cost of the 5G unlimited plan, so an affordable plan from Vi 5G services will be better.
