Since its total redesign, X, formerly known as Twitter, has undergone some significant modifications. Users can now limit replies to their postings (tweets) thanks to X’s most recent functionality. By default, anyone can respond to a post, but you now have the option to limit replies to verified people only.
X only allows answers from verified users
X announced the launch of this new feature, which is accessible to all users of the site. It was introduced in an effort to combat the X-related misinformation that even Twitter had been struggling with for years. Elon Musk, the owner of X, claims that the new functionality should also help with spam bots.
If you want only verified accounts to respond to your posts, then follow these steps
- Open X first, then click the compose post button.
- Tap the globe icon before sharing the article.
- By default, everyone will be chosen.
- You can select verified accounts from the list of possibilities here.
- Other choices include restricting replies to your post to accounts you follow or mention.
Since Musk took over, X has promoted its verified subscription. It even begun paying content creators for ads that hit a particular number of people. The validated blue tick subscription is also necessary for this. It remains to be seen if this new function will genuinely assist in reducing disinformation.
