Xiaomi launched its Xiaomi 14 series in China back in October last year and the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro is the first smartphone which is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Now the company will soon launch its top variant of Xiaomi 14 series i.e Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
A tipster, Jim Zhang, shared the pictures on CoolApk, a Chinese app store. The fact that the phone looks to be in a protective case suggests that it is a prototype model. An optical zoom periscope-telephoto lens is also visible in photos.
Given that the person in the photos is also carrying the Xiaomi 14 Pro, it appears that Xiaomi is testing the camera capabilities of the future Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The camera app’s user interface is likewise reminiscent of Xiaomi flagships.
Notable tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the Sony LYT 900 sensor will power the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s 50MP primary camera with OIS. It will have adjustable aperture as well. According to DCS, the device’s f/1.63 aperture is comparable to the f/4.3 full frame aperture seen on DSLRs.
In order to create a quad-rear camera arrangement, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is also expected to include a 50MP telephoto lens, a 50MP periscope lens, and an extra 50MP ultra-wide lens. It is expected that the device’s optical zoom will be improved from the 3.2x zoom on the Xiaomi 14 Pro.
On the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi may also include a titanium frame as standard. Although the company has previously released a titanium-colored special edition Xiaomi 14 Pro, the aluminum version is still available.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is expected to go on sale in China in March 2024. However, given Xiaomi’s cautious approach to its flagship launches worldwide, the device’s availability outside of China may be extremely limited. The Chinese phone manufacturer only introduced the Xiaomi 13 Pro in India, excluding the base and Ultra models, despite having offered the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in a few other foreign countries.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED display coupled with 120Hz refresh rate. In the camera section Xiaomi 14 Ultra has 50MP Sony LYT-900 Primary sensor with OIS, 50MP Ultrawide sensor, 50MP Periscope camera, 50MP Telephoto camera with LED flash and 32MP Front camera.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra has 5,500mAh battery with 120W Wired, 50W Wireless charging and the device runs on android 14 with HyperOS on top. Xiaomi 14 Ultra also features 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, NFC and stereo speaker, IP68 rating, In-display fingerprint sensor.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra offers up to 16GB RAM and 1TB Internal storage.
