Xiaomi’s first electric vehicle, the Xiaomi SU7, just made its Chinese debut. There are two versions of the Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan available: one with Lidar and the other without. There are two powertrain options available to customers for this vehicle: all-wheel drive (AWD) and rear-wheel drive (RWD). The electric vehicle will be available for purchase in three different models: Xiaomi SU7, Xiaomi SU7 Pro, and Xiaomi SU7 Max.

Xiaomi SU7 lineup (expected) Price

Xiaomi SU7 is reportedly projected to cost less than CNY 300,000 (around Rs 3,448,500), or roughly $40,000 (less than €40,000). While the more economical lower trims will use LFP battery packs from BYD, the more expensive models with larger battery packs will be equipped with NMC battery packs from CATL.

Because of the heavy weight of the battery, electric cars are frequently bulky; the Xiaomi SU7 is no exception, weighing 2,205 kg at curb weight for the top trim level and 1,980 kg for the base model. The more expensive models will attain a maximum speed of 265 kmph, while the cheaper models will only reach 210 kmph.

Xiaomi SU7 availability

It is anticipated that the Xiaomi SU7 will enter manufacturing in December 2023 and begin shipping in February 2024. Trial production has already begun at BAIC’s Beijing factory, where test cars are already being assembled on the assembly line.
