YouTube had previously launched its Premium Lite plan in selected countries for testing purposes. However, the plan was rolled back soon. Now, after a long time, the platform has announced a Premium Lite plan for US consumers. It will soon expand to other countries in the coming months.
YouTube Premium Lite: Here’s how much it costs
The YouTube Premium Lite has been priced at $7.99 per month in the US. The pricing converts to roughly Rs 700. The original Premium plan costs $13.99 per month (approx Rs 1400) for reference.
Under the Premium Lite subscription, users can enjoy a complete ads-free experience for most videos. Some videos, such as music content, shorts, etc,. may have ads in between. Gaming, fashion, beauty, news and more niche will remain completely ads-free.
After a few weeks, YouTube may launch the Premium Lite plan for the users residing in Thailand, Germany and Australia. Whether India will get the plan remains a mystery for now. We should wait for an official announcement regarding the expansion of the plan to know more about it.
