Cupertino based tech giant Apple launched the new MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch with M3 series Chip and iMac 24-inch with M3 Chip in Apple Scary Fast event.
iMac 24-inch Price and Availability
- Rs 1,34,900for 256GB with 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU and 8GB of unified memory. It has two Thunderbolt or four USB ports, Magic Keyboard.
- Rs 1,54,900 for 256GB with a 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 8GB of unified memory, and 256GB of storage also has two USB 3 connections, two Thunderbolt or USB 4 connectors, gigabit ethernet, and Magic Keyboard with Touch ID.
- Rs 1,74,900 for 512GB with a 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 8GB of unified memory, and 256GB of storage also has two USB 3 connections, two Thunderbolt or USB 4 connectors, gigabit ethernet, and Magic Keyboard with Touch ID.
The base model is available in Pink, Green, Blue, Silver color options. Rest of two available in blue, green, pink, silver, yellow, orange, and purple color options. All models of iMac 24-inch will be available from November 7th.
iMac 24-inch Specifications
Even though it shares a similar appearance with the previous generation, the new 24-inch iMac 24-inch with M3 CPU has some performance enhancements. Based on the A17 Pro chip found in the Apple iPhone 15 Pro, the M3 chip has an 8-core CPU, up to a 10-core GPU, and support for up to 24GB of unified RAM. It is said to be twice as fast as the M1 chip.
The 3nm manufacturing technique used to create Apple’s new M3 processor increases its efficiency over the M1 chip that drove its predecessor. Regarding graphics, the processor provides hardware-accelerated mesh shading along with iMac 24-inch ray tracing capabilities. Additionally, a 16-core neural engine is included to facilitate faster machine learning.
The 24-inch Retina Display that comes with the all-in-one iMac 24-inch with M3 has a peak brightness of 500 nits and a resolution of 4.5K. It now has support for Gigabit Ethernet, up to four USB Type-C ports, two Thunderbolt connectors, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. Additionally, there is a six-speaker system with compatibility for Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio, as well as a 1080p FaceTime camera. From the box, it runs the latest version of macOS Sonoma.
