HIGHLIGHTS

  • Around October 30th or 31st, new 24-inch iMacs and MacBook Pros will be released.
  • In March of next year, the next iPad, iPad mini, and iPad Air will go on sale.
  • Apple is still working on the 32-inch iMac Pro. Apple M3-equipped MacBook Air is anticipated to launch in 2024.

The month’s worth of Apple rumors has left a lot of people uncertain about what the company has in store. But a fresh revelation from one of the most dependable sources in the sector is now finally shedding some light on what to anticipate in terms of upcoming iPads and Macs. Here are some potential new product launches you should keep an eye out for this month.

iMac, MacBook Pro to get a refresh this month

By the end of this month, Apple may introduce a new lineup of Mac goods. According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg report, a new 24-inch iMac and an improved MacBook Pro series could be on sale on October 30 or 31. This is unexpected considering that numerous reports from last week indicated that the Mac and iPad lineups would not be upgraded this year.

In 2021, Apple released the updated 24-inch iMac with its own Apple M1 processor. Since Apple has been selling Macs with M2 chips since last year, the device has been in dire need of an update. Apple M2 and M2 Pro CPUs may be present in the new iMac, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet.

On the other hand, the MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch models have been equipped with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips since the start of this year, while the MacBook Pro 13-inch has the M2 Chip. We did not anticipate a MacBook Pro update, given that the existing versions are only a few months old.

In fact, it begs the issue of whether the new Pro laptops, which are not mentioned in the report, will have the Apple M3 CPU when they are released later this month. If the processor is released this year, the $3,499 Apple Vision Pro would have to debut early the next year using the obsolete Apple M2 chipset, which does not seem optimal.

New iPads will go on sale as early as March 2024.

While the new iPad mini and iPad Air models, as well as the iPad 11th generation, were anticipated earlier this month, we instead received the most affordable Apple Pencil from the Californian business.

But according to Gurman, these new iPads won’t go on sale until March of next year. Later in the same year, the iPad Pro, which is anticipated to receive a complete redesign for the next-generation model with an M3 chip, might make its debut.

It may be a favorable sign for a debut later this month if the iMac 24-inch and MacBook Pros are in short supply in the US. As there have been no invitations for a physical event, the launch may take place via a press release by the brand. It’s possible that a 32-inch iMac Pro may launch in 2025 or the following year. This would also be the biggest iMac to date. MacBook Air models with Apple M3 chips are expected to be released next year too.
