Apple working to launch Apple Credit Card, Apple Pay in India

According to reports, Apple is in conversation with Indian banks and regulators to launch its Credit card in India like Apple Cards. In the US Apple has the Apple cards which it associates with Gokdman Sachs American multinational investment bank.

Recently in the opening of Apple stores in India Apple’s CEO Tim Cook visited India in April and at that time Tim Cook also met with HDFC bank CEO and MD Sashidhar Jagdishan, according to MoneyControl citing two sources that the meeting is on the Apple Credit Card.

Apple is also reportedly holding talks with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) Possibly launch Apple Pay in India, a third source told MoneyControl. The edge of launching a Rupay Credit card which can be linked with UPI, But India banks are only allowed to launch the Credit cards.

All tech giants companies like Google, Samsung, Amazon are also expanding in the payment sectors, Apple also starts chasing them.

Apple also discussed with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on the modalities of the cards, reports said according to the sources, The regulator offers to Apple to follow the regular procedure for co – branded credit cards without offering any special offers for Apple.
